mont tremblant, adventures in mont tremblant, what to do in mont tremblant, best of mont tremblant, hiking mont tremblant, couple romantic mont tremblantAfter finally managing to peel ourselves away from the creatively-delicious city of Montreal (epic bucket list post here), our adventures took us northwest to the picturesque village of Mont Tremblant. Famous for its brightly colored ski resort, hosting the Iron Man and its endless array of outdoor activities, we had no idea how big of a treat we were in for.

Well, besides it actually being a great hike (given the proper weather), when we got to the top of the mountain we discovered that we could take the gondola down! No more mosquitos biting our necks, no more rain… and for some reason it would be free (there must be a rainstorm hiking discount). We just couldn’t turn it down:

Any other day we would have been all about hiking back down, but today we were more than happy to sit back and enjoy the ride.

OH, and if you’re visiting June-July, bring bug spray! We learned the hard way:

We stayed there 2 nights, grilled and enjoyed watching the many deer that came prancing by! (In case you were wondering, we don’t miss TV.)

Drew and I had a blast weaving around each other, choosing trails that suited our individual fancies.

While biking back, we happened to fall upon the actual Iron Man running route!
