Vlog #4 + The Importance and Power of Visualization

moorings palm tree, sideways palm tree, adventure couple kissingToday’s post is going to be short because we are getting married in 5 short days (YAY!!!) and so I’m saving all my brain juice for focusing on and writing my vows. But, there is an important thing that Drew and I have both come to value in the days leading up to our wedding, which is 100% outdoors, with no Plan B, Friday, Saturday AND Sunday, on top of the fact that this has turned out to be the most UNPREDICTABLE January in the history of weather. EVER. What can we say, we are open to risk and like taking chances! Back to the lesson, which is, the importance and power of visualization!

That image is from my journal a few years back, but you see that photo at the top of our post? That’s us in Islamorada the day we chose our wedding venue. It was a perfect, blue-sky day with a light-cool breeze… EXACTLY the kind of day we had dreamed of for our wedding, and typically the kind of weather Florida January’s are so famed for. But, with all of this crazy weather going on lately, Drew and I started to get a bit concerned, so we decided to paste that photo of our dream day on our mirror so we could  look at it and focus on it every morning, believing and giving gratitude for the beautiful weather we would be SO BLESSED with on our wedding weekend.

Sometimes it’s ok to believe that every single one of those eggs will produce a perfectly healthy, happy and sunny little chicklet. Don’t let negativity and thoughts of “what if” cloud your Faith. While it’s important to be realistic as well, it’s even more important to take chances and believe in the best possible outcome. No matter what happens, you will walk away from your experience knowing that you did all you could to trust, and whatever is meant to be will be.

Drew and I have been filming tiny little clips about our thoughts on marriage/wedding for the 2 weeks prior to our wedding. Here is yesterday’s clip – Enjoy!

Life is too short, there is a way to enjoy life, find freedom and make a living… you just have to be willing to let go of what you know and find it⭐️

Hi ! my name´s Alyssa Arias and I´m a junior at St. Thomas Aquinas. My wonderful English teacher Mr. Cambon (Hunter) told me about your blog and it´s one of the cutest and prettiest thing I´ve witnessed. I wonder what its like to marry your best friend….although I´m a little to young to know yet haha. We had to write down and speak about a bucket list we have in mind and many of the students chose to travel. That´s when Mr. Cambon told us about your blog and I fell in love with it. Well I find it super cool that you are doing this and I just wanted wish you the best of luck throughout your journey and marriage!

    Keep Up the Good Work,
Alyssa Arias (St. Thomas Aquinas Junior c/o 2017)

I had the pleasure of going to school with Mr. Cambon from 1st-12th grade. He is not only a wonderful teacher, but even more so, he’s an incredible human being. Thank you so much for taking the time to explore our blog. Throughout our travels, and relationship, we have really come to realize how truly good life and love can be. Bucket lists are so much fun! But always remember that some of the best adventures in life can’t be found on any list. 1 more thing: Always be kind, always have courage, oh and always turn your English homework in on time.
