Our Romantic Honeymoon in London

london honeymoon, romantic honeymoon, adventures in london, romantic honeymoon europe, mr and mrs adventure honeymoonIf you had told sun-loving, flip-flop wearing, Floridian/Californian me that I would be honeymooning in 50-degree London… I would have said you were CRAZY! Yet here I am… with my love by my side keeping me warm and happy… in London… on our honeymoon.

london honeymoon, romantic honeymoon, adventures in london, romantic honeymoon europe, mr and mrs adventure honeymoonAfter taking a stress-free, 1.5 hour nap/ride from Gatwick to Piccadilly using Blacklane’s elite car service, we arrived to the Park Lane Hotel (thank you Starwood Points) where it was finally time to relax and enjoy each other’s company. No more packing, no more planning, no more wedding construction or deconstruction, just us, London and our honeymoon… we decided to start with a stroll through St. James’ Park, which lead us to the incredibly beautiful Buckingham Palace:

Can you spot the unicorn below?
On either side of the Buckingham Palace gate is the English Lion and the Scottish Unicorn, two animals that support and hold the royal coat of arms. The Unicorn of Scotland symbolizes innocence and purity, healing powers, joy and even life itself – pretty cool!

Congrats on the wedding – and on the life, guys! 🙂

Came here from EoF, you guys are living my dream. 🙂 Would love to live on the road and see different places on Earth or at least in our country. I wonder if with 3 kids in school it’s even possible. 🙂 I guess, with homeschooling – yes; but homeschooling is not for everyone, talking of both kids and parents here.

In any case, great seeing you happy! All the best!

Hi Sasha! Thank you so much for taking the time to write. When Drew was a kid his parents took him on a road trip across America in an RV for 6 weeks, this is something they never forgot and Drew has always said contributed to his adventurous spirit 🙂 We’ve discussed what we want to do when we have kids, toyed with the homeschooling idea, but really we don’t know the answer for us yet. Our advice is to spend one summer exploring with your kids, schools don’t teach about the incredible history and beauty that’s in our national parks, and I personally had never even been to one before I was 24! I cant even imagine how much MORE I would love Yosemite, Glacier, etc had I made lasting memories there with my family as a kid 🙂 Stay in touch and keep the adventure alive!! xo

Hey Nick! We use a Canon 6D with a Canon lens 24-105 f4 majority the time and some of the cool effects in this particular post were created by our Lensbaby tilt shift lens. 🙂 we love this! We have a Vanguard Alta Pro Tripod with a Ball Head Mount. Let us know if you have any other questions.
