Cool….Was your schedule to Alaska in September cold in Alaska?? On your route for the year did you have like a few days for each stop?

on your USA roadtrip for 2015…how did you determine which areas to visit weather wise?

Hi Ronald! Basically we had an endless summer 🙂 We started in Florida (January/February2015), then went to Texas in March, then slowly made our way up the East to New York (by May), then my Bachelorette Party in Minneapolis (June), Michigan to visit Drew’s family in July, then Canada, Alaska, Seattle, Southern California by September, Arizona/New Mex November and then back to Florida in December, with just enough time to prepare for our wedding in The Keys that following month (January 30th, 2016). Then 5 days later we flew to England… February 5th, where we bought our first home, a converted Ford Transit Van with NO heating whatsoever, well, besides the oven, which I toasted by pj’s in nearly every night. Really. So while we did the US pretty right with the weather, we didn’t start off on the best foot in EU 😉

Hey there, in the last video you did something wrong, the file is from ordinary steal and will polute the stainless steel, by using this tool your spacers will rust again. Stainless steel is always machined with special tools.

We didn’t know this! Ahh, so hard to know everything before taking action. We’ll just have to hope for the best and see what happens. Thank you for the heads up 🙂

Greetings from Alaska…my wife and I have traveled extensively, and use a 1992 Landcruiser for travel around North America. With the arrival of our daughter, we are thinking of growing in size to a slightly larger vehicle. If you head toward Alaska next year, please let us know.

Hey Mikey Mike! It was so great meeting you by the supercool Ikea tent 🙂 We are now in England, as our 90-day US Visa ended on Sunday (we took the ferry from Calais, France to Dover). We fly back to the US on October 6th and on December 28th we return to England and hop in or van to drive all the way down to spend 3 months in Morocco, then Spain and Portugal for April- June. Hoping our paths cross again one day! Until then, wishing you the best of the best! B + D

    Drew & Brittany,

Thank you so very much. Well, so far I am well into writing the first year of my six year stint with the outfit. So, it will be a while before I get the book completed and published. I will definitely keep you informed. Do you have a non-blog e-mail address that I can keep you up to date on my progress?

    Thanks,
    Ray

    Permission to use.

Would you mind if I used your photo of the 97 switchbacks on the Mt. Whitney trail in a book I am writing about my packing experiences with Mt. Whitney Pack Trains from 1965-1970? I’d place whatever credit alongside the photo that you would like.

    Thanks for your consideration
