What's Cool About the LA Public Libraries?
With my newly found free time, I have begun to have a greater appreciation for all that the LA Public Libraries have to offer. I used to go to Barnes and Noble to read their books and mags without having to buy them, but somehow I would be coaxed into buying something, usually some new travel book that I just couldn’t read all in one sitting. But recently I started to visit the LA Public Libraries.
First it was the one downtown, which is ABSOLUTELY huge, I think it has 4 or 5 stories, it reminds me of Library West (for those of you who went to UF). I read books on blogging and how to build a website using WordPress (guess it taught me something good!). You can check out DVD’s for 2 days, and audio book and all books for 2 weeks! Plus their internet is way fast, I would always get frustrated with Barnes’ slow internet.
The next LA Public Library I visited was the one right off of 3rd just East of the Grove in West Hollywood. This one was much smaller but it had an awesome DVD collection and again, great internet. We rented LA Story & American Graffiti.
The next two on my list of LA Pubic Libraries to go visit include: Santa Monica & the brand new West Hollywood branch right off San Vicente.Go see where your nearest Public Library is!
